New0.4.0 — a new look, native Liquid Glass

The infinite AI-native filesystem for creative teams.

goframe drive mounts your team’s cloud storage in Finder as a real disk. Files open and play without downloading, and any app, script or AI agent on your Mac can read and write them.

In Finder

It’s just a disk. It just plays.

Your footage sits in Finder, as on any other disk. Double-click a clip and it plays — your Mac fetches only what the player reads.

  1. 01Real disk

    It is a real disk

goframe drive mounts with Apple’s FSKit, under Locations, next to your Mac’s own disk. Not a sync folder: every file is listed at once, and nothing is downloaded up front.

  2. 02Playback

    Double-click, it plays

QuickTime opens the clip straight from the drive. Your Mac fetches the parts it reads and a little more ahead — from 2 MiB up to 16 MiB while it keeps playing.

  3. 03Seek

    Jump anywhere

Click anywhere on the timeline. The drive fetches the piece that lands there and nothing in between: a jump costs one small fetch.

  4. 04Disk space

    Almost nothing on your Mac

The footage stays on the drive. Your Mac keeps what you played in a bounded cache, and every byte is checked against its SHA‑256 before an app sees it.

File names and sizes are illustrative.

What changes

Stop waiting on files. Start working in them.

Five things a real filesystem changes for a team that moves big files.

  1. Apps read straight from the drive, so a camera original opens when its first bytes arrive, not its last. Only the parts an app reads come down, each one checked against its SHA‑256.

01Only what the player reads comes down

  2. Drop a shoot into the drive and Finder finishes as fast as your disk writes. The bytes are journaled on your Mac, the upload carries on in the background, and it resumes after a crash.

02close() returns once journaled · the upload carries on

  3. Rename, move or delete a file in Finder and your team sees it within seconds — on their Macs and in the browser at drive.goframe.dev. A new file appears as soon as its upload lands.

03Renamed in Finder · updated in the browser

  4. Apps that open files from a disk open them from goframe drive, with no plug-in and no import step. Playback is tested in QuickTime and DaVinci Resolve.

04Every Open dialog lists the drive

  5. Any AI agent or script on your Mac reads and writes the drive with plain file calls. No SDK, no plug-in, no upload step.

Everywhere

One drive. Every surface.

Finder, a browser, a public link, the menu bar, a terminal: the same files everywhere. A change made in Finder reaches the browser within seconds.

A real disk in Finder. Right-click any file to copy its link or pin it to this Mac.

The same drive in your browser: preview PDFs, video and code, download folders as a ZIP.

Your drives, uploads in flight and updates, one click away in the menu bar.

Terminal, scripts and AI agents see a path under /Volumes, like any other disk.

AI-native

Your agents already speak filesystem. goframe drive gives them your team’s files.

Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or your own script: an agent that works with local files can work on the drive. It lists, reads and writes the team’s files with the calls it already makes.

AI agents and scripts
  • No SDK

The drive is a disk at /Volumes. ls, grep, ffprobe and open() just work — no plug-in, no API key, no upload step.

  • Streams, doesn’t download

Only the parts a tool reads are fetched, so an agent can survey terabytes of footage without filling your Mac.

  • Writes reach the whole team

A save finishes at disk speed and uploads in the background. Once it lands, every teammate sees it in Finder and the browser within seconds.

goframe drive has no AI of its own. It gives yours a disk.

To your apps, it is a disk. No plug-in, no import step.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Something we didn’t cover?
hello@goframe.dev

What is goframe drive?

goframe drive mounts your team’s cloud storage in Finder as a real disk. Files open and play without downloading first, copies finish at the speed of your disk, and the same drives are in your browser at drive.goframe.dev.

How is it different from Dropbox or Google Drive?

A sync folder downloads a whole file before an app can open it. goframe drive is a disk mounted with Apple’s FSKit: your Mac fetches only the parts of a file an app actually reads, so a long video starts playing while the rest stays in the cloud.

Will it fill up my Mac’s disk?

No. Finder shows every file, but your Mac keeps only what you open, in a bounded cache (10 GiB by default) that makes room as it fills. New files stay on your Mac only until their upload finishes.

To keep something on this Mac, pin it: right-click › Pin to goframe drive. Pinned files stay until you unpin them.

Which apps work with it?

goframe drive is a disk, so an app opens a file from it the same way it opens one from any disk: no plug-in, no import. We test video playback in QuickTime and DaVinci Resolve; other apps are not verified yet.

Limits today: the drive has no symbolic links, hard links or extended attributes such as Finder tags.

How fast do changes reach my team?

Within seconds. A rename, a move or a delete in Finder shows up on your teammates’ Macs and in the browser, and the other way round. A new file appears to others once its upload finishes.

Can I work without a connection?

Partly. Files you pin stay downloaded on this Mac, so they open from your disk if the network drops. Everything else streams from the cloud and needs a connection, and so does mounting the drive.

What connection do I need?

Playback follows your link: a video plays smoothly when your connection carries its bitrate. goframe drive reads up to 16 MiB ahead, and a jump to another spot costs one small fetch.

Copies into the drive finish at the speed of your disk and upload in the background.

Can AI agents use it?

Yes, because it’s a real disk. Any agent, script or render queue on your Mac reads and writes your team’s files with ordinary file calls: no SDK, no plug-in, no upload step.

goframe drive has no AI of its own; it gives yours a disk.

Can I share files with people outside my team?

Yes. Create a read-only public link to a file or folder: anyone with it can view and download, no account needed. Rotate or revoke a link at any time. To work together, invite people to your workspace by e‑mail.

Which platforms does it run on?

The Mac app needs macOS Tahoe 26.0+ on Apple silicon; Intel Macs aren’t supported. The web app runs in any modern browser. There is no Windows, Linux or mobile app today.

How do I sign in?

With your e‑mail address. We send a 6-digit code that’s valid for 10 minutes, so there’s no password to remember. The Mac app signs you in through your browser.

Is it secure? Do you track me?

We don’t track you: 0 trackers, with no analytics, telemetry or crash reporting in the Mac app, the web app or this site.

Your Mac gets storage credentials that last 15 minutes and open one drive; browsers never hold storage keys. Every byte is checked against its SHA‑256 before it’s served or cached.

Security in detail
Where are my files stored?

In Cloudflare R2. Files are split into content-addressed shards, so identical content inside a drive is stored once, and every shard is verified when it’s read.

How much does it cost?

Nothing during early access. Paid plans will be announced before it ends, and nothing changes without notice.
